A stem separator that builds you an Akai Force / MPC project
Split any song into stems and open them straight in your Force or MPC — already laid out and ready to flip, no manual chopping. It all runs on your own machine, free.
Drop in a track
Load a local file, paste a YouTube link, or feed it a whole playlist to pull a batch of references at once.
Pick your split
4 stems, 6 stems, or a full drum-kit split up to ~10 — kick, snare, toms and cymbals each on their own.
Open it on the Force or in MPC
You get a project with stems as track columns and song sections as launch rows. Hit play and start flipping — nothing to chop first.
Akai sells stems back to you for $9.99 — four of them, slowly.
MPC Stems is a $9.99 add-on tied to an inMusic account, and it tops out at four stems: vocals, drums, bass, other. The drums come out as one combined stem — no kick, no snare, no toms to grab on their own.
And on the hardware it takes its time: MusicTech’s MPC One+ review (January 2026) measured over 15 minutes to separate a three-minute track on-device, called the results “pretty heavily artefacted,” and suggested a desktop tool would be quicker and more effective for full songs. Their words, not ours.
Quota Stems does the split on your computer at your computer’s speed — free, up to ~10 stems with the full drum-kit break-out — then builds the Force/MPC project for you. Load it on the hardware and it’s already laid out: stems as track columns, song sections as launch rows.
